Following the Montessori philosophy, with creative, world-themed materials and nature-inspired free-flow activities, little minds can absorb the world around them.
As you arrive and open the gate, you are free to explore the garden, the hidden benches, mud kitchen and playhouse, along the winding path down to the Studio and allowing the children to find the activities that catch their eye.
Each week has a theme, inspired by the cycle of the seasons and within which, there are a range of activities. These include regularly-occurring and familiar materials, together with new discoveries and creative free-play:
exploring sensory trays and curious practical-life skills
get crafty with nature to create artworks to take home
bringing stories to life with story-bags and puppets
'selling' tea and cakes in the cafe and mud-kitchen role-play
create their own car track and ball run with nature's best tools
Being outside in nature, the children can witness the seasons and absorb the changing weather and its effect on the garden as the weeks go by.
